AboutI am a Stage Manager and Theatre Technician from Birmingham, Alabama. Since 2009, my passion for theatre has led to roles in management, design, construction, and leadership within local communities, student organizations, and educational theatre.
Throughout my undergraduate career, I worked closely with the faculty and staff of The University of Alabama Department of Theatre and Dance as a stage management student, making valuable connections to directors, actors, designers, and educators in the field. These connections led to continuous opportunities in all areas of technical theatre: as stage manager, usher, costume stitcher, scenic crew, properties construction, and designer. My work in the department guided them into their role on the executive board of the Gamma Gamma Cast of Alpha Psi Omega, as Technical Director. Alpha Psi Omega's Gamma Gamma Cast continues today to provide many outlets for fostering creativity, creating art in the community, and raising money for local philanthropy, West Alabama AIDS Outreach (now Five Horizons Health Services). I am a recent recipient of a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Alabama, majoring in Theatre and taking a minor in Computer Applications and Technology. Since this December graduation, I have continued to work alongside UA Theatre & Dance, as well as my alum chapter of Alpha Psi Omega. In 2018, I lived in 3 states (Alabama, New York, and Maryland) working on art in new communities. In 2019, I look forward to continuing to create art alongside others. My mission is to foster the implementation of innovative technology in theatres in order to facilitate future theatrical and dance productions, while inspiring the creators of the next generation to pursue what makes them feel like magic. |
